This isn't about one's feelings about gay individuals. This is about the long time definition of marriage that is under attack.

A celebrity didn't talk the PC, ultra-liberal talk, so the mainstream media goes into a tizzy. I applaud this courageous woman and her choice to not go away quietly, but to strongly stand up for her convictions.

Do you honestly think people choose to be gay? Pretty sure you didn't choose to be straight. Denying people rights over something they have no choice on is wrong.

It is wrenching to hear supposed concerns for "smoking related" cancer that utterly ignore the fact that typical cigarettes, mostly (not always) made from the sixth most pesticide-intensive crop, tobacco, are legally permitted to contain any number of cancer-causing pesticide residues, cancer-causing non-tobacco additives, cancer-causing radiation from still legal phosphate tobacco fertilizers, and chlorine substances (pesticides and chlorine bleached paper) that deliver cancer-causing, and cancer-promoting, dioxins to unwitting, unprotected, secretly poisoned smokers.

That dioxin is permitted in smoke from typical cigarettes (it can't come from tobacco itself) is inexcusable. After all, the US has classified dioxin (by-product of industrial chlorine) a Known Human Carcinogen...and the USA signed the Stockholm Conventioin (the POPs Treaty) to phase dioxin off the earth along with eleven other Worst of the Worst industrial pollutants. No Public Officials can claim not to know...and none can claim that "studies are incomplete" or the like.

People believe the cigarette makers and others that the products are tobacco...but they they are hit with all of the above...and then hit not with sympathy but with blame for causing their own illnesses and deaths...many, if not most, such diseases being absolutely impossible to be caused by smoke from any natural plant, even "sinful" tobacco.

Tobacco, with its characteristic of creating withdrawal symptoms, and the fact that it is inhaled, is the Absolutely worst place for those non-tobacco toxins and carcinogens. The cruelty of allowing this and failing to even warn about these non-tobacco things is beyond comprehension... but the corporate-government crusade to scapegoat the tobacco plant, and to blame the victims, is quite understandable considering the enormity of the potential liabilities, the severity of potential criminal charges, and the economic effect on the profits of the cartel of perpetrators.

Let's reverse the situation.

Suppose Perez Hilton was on Meet the Press or any other interview program and was asked about gay marriage. Using his flawed logic, he is obligated to answer by taking the middle ground, that the issue is controversial and should be decided by each individual state, and should refrain from expressing his honest opinion.
