State Senator Mary Lazich (R-New Berlin) represents parts of four counties: Milwaukee, Waukesha, Racine, and Walworth. Her Senate District 28 includes New Berlin, Franklin, Greendale, Hales Corners, Muskego, Waterford, Big Bend, the town of Vernon and parts of Greenfield, East Troy, and Mukwonago. The Great Lakes Compact is headed to the state Legislature for consideration.
We need a Great Lakes Compact, but as I have stated so many times in the past, it has to be the right document, free of flaws and trap doors. Passing a Compact just to pass a Compact is the wrong approach.
I was interviewed by Milwaukee Journal/Sentinel reporter Stacy Forster for today’s article on the Compact.
